Abstract

This editorial presents some of the ideas that I have encountered in my exploration of and experience in nursing within United Kingdom higher education. I will start with an exploration of leadership and current trends in curriculum design, and then moving on to discuss management bureaucracies, subservience and subordination in nurse education generally in the light of this.
