Abstract

Spanning almost a century of British photography, this exhibition at SESI, São Paulo, takes in the new photographic directions of the 1920s and 1930s which developed alongside the emergence of mass media, through to the divergence of today’s image-laden world. Many of Britain’s most significant celebrated and influential photographers including Madame Yevonde, George Rodger, Bill Brandt and Martin Parr are shown, drawn from the British Council, Arts Council and National Portrait Gallery Collections as well as works from private Collections
