Abstract

Enclosures Elsewhere was conceived as a speculation on ways landscapes are pictorially perceived - a map on a table is read, but a painting on a wall is not interpreted within similar terms. The works in this show aimed to exploit tensions between two territories - the painting and the site, which are not always landscapes per se. Exhibition curated by James Fisher Lion and Lamb Gallery, London 29th March - 19th April 2014 Including works by Peter Ashton Jones | Kate Belton | Simon Burton | Andrew Cranston | Joe Fan | James Fisher | Paula Kane | Sarah R Key | Paul Rosenbloom Public Artists’ Talk with Juan Bolivar 19th April 2014
