Abstract

This management project is to assess the fleet management through the use of mobile tracking systems for Rainbow Trust in 2015. This particular topic needed a solution as Rainbow Trust wanted to find out if the current system is suitable for what they need from both the management and user standpoint. My job was to come up with a recommendation on how they can improve their tracking system and what they should do next. The objectives were to:  Review the Rainbow Trust current procedures to manage and operate their mobile tracking systems  Assess the current issues that the Rainbow Trust has with the tracking devices system  Identify alternative systems and processes for Rainbow Trust to manage their fleet  Recommend to Rainbow Trust how to improve their tracking device system and procedures in order to deliver a more efficient fleet The problems were solved and addressed by performing an online survey to get Care Worker views on ggDrive to find out if the technology was suitable for them, and a Post Implementation Review (PIR) that reviewed and evaluated if ggDrive met the requirements of Rainbow Trust. I managed to assess the current issues that Rainbow Trust had with ggDrive using the Survey results and researched into Alternative Systems they could use and compared them to find the most suitable system. I also managed to provide recommendations for Rainbow Trust on what they should do next and how they can improve their tracking device system to make sure it is value for money and suitable from a management and user standpoint.
